AdaCore at FOSDEM 2018
Every year, free and open source enthusiasts gather at Brussels (Belgium) for two days of FLOSS-related conferences. FOSDEM organizers setup several “developer rooms”, which are venues that host talks on specific topics. This year, the event will happen on the 3rd and 4th of February (Saturday and Sunday) and there is a room dedicated to the Ada programming language.
Just like last year and the year before, several AdaCore engineers will be there. We have five talks scheduled:
In the Ada devroom:
- Fabien will talk about embedded programming with Ada and the Ada_Drivers_Library.
- Yannick will talk about the SPARK language.
- Raphaël and Pierre-Marie will present the Libadalang project.
In the Embedded, mobile and automotive devroom:
- Fabien will present the O’PAVES project.
In the Source Code Analysis devroom:
- Raphaël and Pierre-Marie will talk about the Langkit meta-compiler.
Note also in the Embedded, mobile and automotive devroom that the talk from Alexander Senier about the work they are doing at Componolit, which uses SPARK and Genode to bring trust to the Android platform.

Pierre-Marie de Rodat
Pierre-Marie joined AdaCore in 2013, after he got an engineering degree at EPITA (IT engineering school in Paris). He mainly works on GNATcoverage, GCC, GDB and Libadalang.
Yannick Moy
Yannick Moy is Head of the Static Analysis Unit at AdaCore. Yannick contributes to the development of SPARK, a software source code analyzer aiming at verifying safety/security properties of programs. He frequently talks about SPARK in articles, conferences, classes and blogs (in particular blog.adacore.com). Yannick previously worked on source code analyzers for PolySpace (now The MathWorks) and at Université Paris-Sud.
Fabien Chouteau
Fabien joined AdaCore in 2010 after his engineering degree at the EPITA (Paris). He is involved in real-time, embedded and hardware simulation technology. Maker/DIYer in his spare time, his projects include electronics, music and woodworking.
Raphaël Amiard
Raphaël Amiard is a software engineer at AdaCore working on tooling and compiler technologies. He joined AdaCore in 2013, after an internship on AdaCore's IDEs. His main interests are compiler technologies, language design, and sound/music making.
