Romain Berrendonner
Senior Engineer
After completing his studies at the Ecole Nationale des Telecommunications (Paris, France) and the Politecnico di Torino (Turin, Italy), Romain joined Sagem – now Safran -where he worked as software engineer. He joined AdaCore in 2002 where he holds the position of GNAT Pro release manager among other duties. His role is to ensure that the GNAT Pro release cycle is respected while maintaing AdaCore’s strict quality assurance standards as the technology evolves.
What does “Frontline Support” mean to you?
Support involves understanding how customers use the technology, and making sure that they accomplish their project’s objectives, and that they are not limited by our technology. And since it’s the developers who do the support, we’re better able to implement new features and evolve the technology in a way that’s driven by the real needs of our customers.
What drew you to Ada?
Basically, Ada is clear, readable and has convenient built-ins. Relax your brain, use Ada!
What’s your favorite feature of GNAT Pro Technology
I really like the GPS customization features with Python and XML. That allows me to tailor the IDE to my exact needs.
